Graffiti Creator..Plum Krazy.. ....
David Smith - I have been playing music since I was 12 years old. My main influences are Angus Young and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I guess you could say my playing is a mixture of both. I love the Fender Guitars for there unique sound, The Telecaster and the Stratocaster are my main Guitars. An old Blues Man once told me when you feel what you play, your in a place Blues Men like to call the Zone. I love being in the Zone when I play , I love writing songs, a good song always tells a story. I would like to say thanks to everyone who has helped me over the years. And to the greatest woman in the world my Grandmother. She never let me give up, She bought me my 1st Guitar a white Memphis Telecaster. And I would also like to thank the best teacher in the buisness, my friend and mentor Jimmy "The Banjo Man" Taylor for making learning fun.
Josh Huff-I've been playing music since I turned twelve. My influences are my dad and David Smith. David and I have been playing together for about 9 years a lot of people have criticized me for not having experience when I first started playing, but David has taught me a lot about music and the people in the business. He has always been there when all others have quit. But Dave and I still goin strong as the Plum Krazy Band.
Troy Rector - He has been playing music since he was about 10 years old. He started out playing music in elementary school and continued throughout high school. While in high school, he and some of his friends had a garage band. They played in a talent contest held at the high school and won the competition. Music has always been a very important part of his life. He started playing guitar when he was 10 years old and started playing bass guitar when he was 12 years old. He was playing bass in a rock band with guys a lot older than he was by the time he was 13. His mother would have to take him to where the band was scheduled to play and one of the guys in the band would bring him home after the show. He played with several different bands while in school. After graduation, he auditioned for a country band called "Southwind". He got the gig as their bass player. They played around the Chattanooga, TN area and even opened for Confererate Railroad at "The Governor's" Easter weekend, 1996. He played with a lot of different bands but was always drawn to country and/or southern rock bands. One of his high school buddies, Arlo Gilliam, was a member of the band they had in school that won the talent show at the high school. Troy met back up with Arlo at The Docks in Scottsboro where he was playing. Troy was once again hooked on trying to get back into a band playing live. He went to Nashville several times trying to get hooked up with bands and thought he'd finally found what he was looking for in a band out of Murfreesboro. He tried to stick it out with them but in the end, he found out that you can't trust people without them showing you paperwork first.
Jimmy Haley -When recently asked to mix sound for Plum Krazy I was nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. But with David Smith and Josh Huff helping me, I settled down quickly after watching them. I've always enjoyed listening to music, but never knew how much work goes into putting on a show. I love being around our fans, the band, and I am always looking toward the future. And the future looks so very bright for Plum Krazy.
