the blue ontario

after the breakup of denver bands christie front drive and crestfallen around 1997, members of both got together to form the blue ontario. we released a split 7-inch with uphollow, an EP called "new frequencies" (produced by robert schneider of the apples in stereo) on both 12-inch (self-released) and CD (static kills records), and had a live track on the dim mak records compilation "live at the pickle patch." after playing shows with joan of arc, jets to brazil, the promise ring, i wish i, compound red, boilermaker, sunshine, the get up kids, ribbon fix, jejune, superchunk, sweep the leg johnny, discount, no knife, built to spill, kind of like spitting, the capitol city dusters, and antarctica and touring with camera obscura (san diego) and planes mistaken for stars, the blue ontario broke up in 1999. we all still play in various bands; drop a line and we'll fill you in.
