It was the London club that defined a generation of clubbers. Headed up by the legendary Graham Gold, Peach packed them out every single week with the finest DJs you could lay your hands on.Whether it was at the Camden Palace, Café de Paris or the Leisure Lounge, Peach was the byword in dance music and the standard which every other club at the time set themselves against. For just over a decade, it was the ultimate. Why? A (very) brief history lesson. They turned away as many people as they let in. They were the first to break some of the biggest DJ names into London and the UK. Their nights weren’t genre-led but DJ orientated. The music shifted through from house to breaks to trance to hard all in one night and the people loved it. They ran for twelve long heady years before finally bringing things to a close at their peak at the Camden Palace. Now the party returns to the capital, this time taking over London’s premier superclub Heaven. The line-up is classic Peach, with DJs chosen for their individual talent but also with an overall view of the night as a whole. Tillman Urmacher, John O’Callaghan, the Soul Avengerz and Darren Pearce lead the way, bringing you three rooms of phenomenally amazing, ground breaking, absolutely dance-your-ass-off dance music. The night is already shaping up to be one of the most heavily attended events in London’s clubbing year so far with ticket sales exceeding even host Graham Gold’s wildest expectations (and if you know Graham you’ll know how wild they can be!).“The buzz on the relaunch of Peach has been phenomenal,†Graham said. “In a way, it’s not surprising as I know how much Peach has meant to everyone who used to come, but the personal mails I have had from so many people has been amazing.“Putting the line-ups together has been the really hard part, as there has been so much talent come through since the last Peach some three years ago. I have lock people down to exclusivity deals in London and again have a lot of London debuts lined up, including Tillman for our launch night, then Aly & Fila, Bobina and Mike Shiver for future parties.“Peach was always at the cutting edge and remember, we were the first to bring Tiesto, Ferry (Corsten), Armin (van Buuren), The Flash Brothers and Abel Ramos to the UK. The brand new owner has not scrimped on promotion or production so I totally know our parties are going to rock and remind London of all they have missed since those glorious days of Peach at the Camden Palace. With monthly parties at the Zap in Brighton, fronted by Mr Peach himself (Russ) and the gorgeous Peachy Babes and monthly at Heaven in London from June 29th things are looking pretty good for the Peach return.Rumour has it that there may be 3 exciting parties lined up in Ibiza, i'll keep you posted as soon as we know for sure!Any questions, message me - any photos you want to share, send them to me at [email protected] and i'll see about getting them on the site for you.See you down the front!!!!!!..
