I am back from Africa! AND I am back from a whirlwind tour of Europe with friends, family, and new friends in Germany, Ireland, England, France, Switzerland, and Italy. I was able to share my new song, "Send Me" with my new friends (that I like to call family) in Italy and England! Germany was an amazing experience with Mama Brigitte's friends and family. I had the honor of sharing HER song - "Hoping in You" (on the Cd) at her memorial service in Germany. I met so many wonderful people along the way, and if you are one of them, thank you for making me feel so at home.
Oh Africa! God hears you! He sees you! I couldn't come away from Africa untouched. No one can... that is, if you are there to be with the people of Africa. Some say you leave your heart in San Francisco, but I left my heart in Africa. The work with Far Reaching Ministries and World Harvest stirred my heart so much. My prayer is that by reading the blog, you'll be stirred as well. Thanks to all who made it possible for me to travel the world and become hands and feet for our Lord!

Elva Frye was born and raised in a family of musicians. Mom, Elva Diaz, a Christian Spanish/English singer/songwriter recording artist, worship leader, and guitarist. She and her brothers sang with their mother. The family of five toured the country in many different vehicles, but most notable: a tour bus and a Volkswagon beetle. Elva began playing piano at age five, and began writing songs at age 12. At age 11, she played the piano for her "pastor dad's" church worship team with her mother until she was 18.
In college, Elva played at a few different open mic nights and talent contests, but found her true calling after meeting her, now husband, Brian. Music had become unimportant in college, but the fire was rekindled after she played at a Calvary Chapel Cafe Open Mic Night. When she married, they began leading worship together at Calvary Chapel San Francisco. Brian and Elva Frye now lead worship on Sunday Mornings at Calvary Chapel Beach Cities in Huntington Beach, CA. Elva also leads worship at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
