BIG MUDDY, is a band comprised of musicians who all have a history in othermidwest groups and solo acts as musicians,singers, songwriters,andproducers. The band covers classics in the rock ,blues, beatnic ,countrygenres never straying too far its americana roots. As to not limit things toomuch the band are big fans of 60's& 70's British pop, blues, and americanfolk music. With diverse instrumentation , including lap steel guitar, uprightbass, mandolin, guitars and drums, their sound is familiar yet timeless.You may hear them play music as diverse as Chet Atkins , Johnny Cash,Elvis and Eddie Cochran to the Beatles the Stones and Tom Petty. add the bluesy swaggar of early ZZ Top and the Yardbirds ,mix with Americana ala Steve Earle , wilco and the Jayhawks.
