About Me

Originally in the 80's I was in a band based in the UK (Blackpool) called DAS KABINETTE which has gained some popularity with the track The Cabinet. Some years later, after baffling many a recording engineer with the music we were trying to realise, we made a conscious decision to move slightly more into the mainstream and changed our name to DANGEROUS GROUND . So after three singles and an unreleased album we decided our fight for fame and fortune was best left as the hobby and excuse for drinking it had morphed into (not that we needed an excuse). Though the band are still close friends and drinking buddies it has been wonderful that home studio technology has reached a stage that has released us from the time constraints and cost of a studio session. And with our own back room setups we have been able to produce our own solo projects which we share amongst ourselves and friends. This of course becomes a problem within itself as I struggle now to find enough time for my other hobbies such as photography and doing illustration work to pay for it all.So here you can hear four selected tracks mainly from the last of three albums produced by myself under the name of THE TEST CHAMBER. Also within these text links you can find my joint efforts with fellow musician Mick under the name MUTANT SUITS and his own solo project UTRONIC .Left to my own devices I am attempting to fill what I consider to be the gaps in my own CD collection. Taking cinematic mood provoking soundscapes and my love of the blues and holding them together with a long time respect for Mick Karn style gurgling bass lines. This was mainly my goal for my third and most recent solo album but is in no way a fixed rule for future tests within the chamber.
