Eric has been playing guitar for 16+ years at different churches and blues bands in Birmingham,Alabama. In 1999, after numerous stints as a sideman, Eric decided it was time to branch out on his own and explore another musical direction. Eric started his own Trio and played at many wedding receiptions, parties, clubs, and bars all over Alabama. But his heart was always with gospel music. In 2004, Eric received the opportunity to play lead guitar for the 2003 American Idol "Ruben Studdard". With Ruben, Eric has been all over the world and still going. Ruben Studdard's newest release "The Return" features Eric Dubose on the bonus track, "If Only for One Night" a re-take of Luther Vandross'. Since Ruben Studdard, Eric has had more opportunities to record with other big gospel artists. One being LaShun Pace out of Atlanta,Georgia. LaShun Pace newest release "Complete" shows off alot of Eric's musical character and love for the guitar. Another great gospel artist Eric has worked for is Leah Lee out of Atlanta,Georgia. Her new release "Outpouring" is set to release in 2007. And he has also appeared on stage with the living legend Dottie Peoples. Eric continues to perform extensively with Ruben Studdard all over the world from South Africa to The Bahamas. Since the new Ruben Studdard CD has released, Eric will be in a city near you performing on the new tour and also on alot of TV Shows. Some being: "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" Oct.11 2006, "The Today Show" Oct.16 2006, "The View" and many other shows. Eric is now working on his first solo release titled "The Gift" for Nu Sound Records in 2007.
