About Me

So, I'm your basic amalgamation of LitGeek, GoreWhore, CraftyChica, and Pop-CultureJunkie. Also, I'm in the SCA. Did I mention I have cats? Fo'Serious yo, I'm the sheezy. Honestly, I'm incredibly devoted to my family and friends, and enjoy just about any sort of social activity, from the occasional rowdy party, to a night spent in with a movie, or a CSI marathon. I'm pretty involved in the SCA, an medieval recreation organization. Think Ren Faire, but much more involved.

What I'm doing with my life
I'm currently working full time and going to school at night and online to finish my AA, before moving on to my B A. Eventually, there's a doctorate in Literature and History, and teaching the same to college students in my future. Beyond work and school, I tend to be busy, keeping up with my social life and SCA obligations.

I'm really good at...
That's a rough one. I mean, I make a fantastic lime meringue pie. I also seem to be pretty good at coaxing a bounty of tomatoes out of the garden. I know all the cheat codes for The Sims, and can engage in deep, conversations about the philosophical meanings buried in the latest horror movie. I'm fantastic at sleeping, and according to one of my SCA friends, I'm a pretty tolerable consort. So really, you need to narrow that question down a bit.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I could list my favorite books, but instead, I'll link you here: My Ultimate Reading List . As far as movies go, I'm a horror movie fanatic, but I like just about everything. My Top 5 musicians are as follows: Dannicus Live, Coldplay, Toby Keith, Rammstein, and Tool. Food... well, it really depends on my mood.

The six things I could never do without:
My family. My friends. My cats. My bed. The beach. Books.

I spend a lot of time thinking about...
Life, and all of the crap that goes along with it, from job/school stress, to how much I'm looking forward to next weekend.

On a typical Friday night I am...
Watching Dr. Who!!! Or, at a Dannicus show, or crashing early in preparation for an SCA event the next day. Or, crashing early out of habit. Or, on a rare day I can get people together, hitting the Drive-In for a movie night.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here:
I know how to keep my secrets.
