The Krushers

The Krushers is a powerful band from Agrigento, Italy, now that plays "Thrashcore". Thanks for the inspiration to the followings bands: Motorhead, Venom, Exciter, Wretched, Indigesti, EU’s Arse, Underage, Upset Noise, Nabat, Rappresaglia, Impact, Negazione, Agnostic Front, Hirax, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Doom, Nuclear Assault, Bulldozer, Incinerator, Schizo, Voivod, Destruction, Carnivore, Sacrifice and Slayer.Born in 2001, only as a project by Giuseppe Peri “UR” (guitars/drum machine) and Tony Frenda “S.S.” (lead vocals/bass). In this way, after auto-produced a demotape called "The Godz of the Atom’s Starz" in February 2001 and receiving a very good responses from the public, with the definitive arrival of Salvatore Arrigo “H” on drums, this project became a real band.Spring 2001: The Krushers have produced another demotape, called "Rehearsal Tape 04/01" made of 4 pieces, in which a real string trio defines what will be the sound of the band. In the beginning of 2002, the band have produced their third demotape ”1985”, recorded live at ’80 studio’s (AG), showing a well balanced mixture of Thrash and Grindcore.Summer 2002: The Krushers recorded “Megaloi Theoi”, 8 Evil songs in early Black/Thrash Metal vein plus a very raw version of “Under the Guillottine” (Kreator).December 2003: “Megaloi Theoi” released by KURAVILU PRODS. The new version includes Megaloi Theoi plus 5 bonus tracks taken from our previous works. This edition is limited to 250 copies.Fall 2004: Eyes of the Dead Prods. released in cd “Megaloi Theoi” (limited to 666 copies) plus “Necrofilo” promo 2004 and alternative cover painted by Kurse.December 2004: THE KRUSHERS live tape has been unleashed, already produced by KURAVILU PRODS and called “Kaos At CSOA Excarcere” – (limited to 333 copies – cover art by Braulio Holocausto... and is a real blasphemy!!!) 11 live tracks plus 1 brand new studio song. This live piece is just aggression and madness. Don't give a fuck!!!! Raw as just it was!!!!!April 2005 new line-up!!! The Krushers are: S.S. (Vocals & Guitars) - UR (Guitars) - WEHR (Bass & Backing Vocals) - H (Drums).July 2005: new record & new release in Chile for Kuravilu Prods. Called "Baruch Ashem" limited to 400 copies. April 2006: out The Krushers’s Promo 2006, not for sale but for “fanatics only” (‘zine, label, etc.). The Krushers come back under the sign of evil death metal. We offer this sacrifical oath blood in the name of the Dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May 2006: H get out of the band to leave to another city and replaced by Salvatore Li Causi (Skizzo) on drums.December 2006: Wehr get definitely out of the band and The Krushers became a power-trio (S.S. - UR -SKIZZO) working on the realization of the new album “Processo- Successo…”. 11 new tracks of Hardcore/Thrash (lyrics in italian & sicilian) plus a cover version of Wretched ‘s song “Ribelle per Moda”.January 2007: Apocalisse 74 Records released in CD - The Krushers “omonimo” (limited edition to 500 copies) including the 6 tracks of Promo 2006 plus Megaloi Theoi (demotape 2002).March 2007: The Krushers released the new cd “Processo – Successo…” (D.I.Y.), recorded & mixed at ’80 studio’s (AG) in three days. This album lets think about Thrash/Punx since the 80’s, with social-declaration lyrics.April 2007: “Promo 2006” released in 333 copies (pro-tapes) for Kuravilu Prods with the title of "As Dead As Death”. In the meantime The Krushers return in the studio to record the new album “Memorie di un Anticristo”, 10 new tracks of low-fi black thrash metal plus a cover version of Demonomania (Misfits). For this record the line-up is: S.S. (Vocals & Guitar) - UR (Guitar) – SKIZZO (Bass) – H (Drums).February 2008: “Memorie di un Anticristo” released by Kuravilu Prods (pro-tapes limited to 200 copies). This new chapter of The Krushers history depict of course the “black” soul of the band. A lot of people reconnect us to the 80’s and it’s fucking true!!! Not nostalgic and revival, HELL AWAITS YOU...March 2008: The Krushers are invited to contribute with a new song called “Thrash in Army” in the EP series ”Thrash Metal Blitzkrieg “.
