My serious interest in music and later songwriting, started as a schoolboy running home from school to play through my Dad’s 60’s LP collection. I soon got fascinated by bands like Searchers, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones and most of all by playing the red and blue double Beatles albums back to back again and again. Started to play the bass in pop-band early in my teens inspired by bands like Duran Duran, The Romantics, Bangles and other 80’s groups. Later I bought my first Stratocaster and Marshall rig, got those tight denims and joined more hard rocking guys influenced by stuff like Quo, ZZ-top, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and others. Managing to play all youth clubs around Oslo I realized playing live was the way to go. Formed the Playmates with long-time friend Frode Schumann and charismatic singer Johnny "Turtle" (now of PowerPack) and spent several years growing my hair and doing the boogie in clubs in and around Oslo, peaking when headlining the Rockefeller music hall at “Solfest†and supporting Woodstock-legend Alvin Lee at Sentrum Scene in the early 90’s, as well as playing the part of ourselves and playing our music in the film "De blå ulvene" based on the book by famous norwegian author Ingvar Ambjørnsen. Went on to be struck by Americana and no-depression bands such as Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Son Volt, Jayhawks and powerful pop-groups like Teenage Fanclub and Posies. Fronting my own band “Two in the Bush†for the first time around 1995 singing and writing all the material. This band was later to become Treble (still going strong?) recording some 20 songs not yet released, and playing clubs in Oslo.
Along the way I’ve played in several cover-bands and short-time projects.Working today with a great production team in Laidback Studios AND MY FIRST SINGLE IS OUT NOW !!!
