About Me

Discrete Recordings is a Swiss based production company and independent record label. We are currently producing records for two acts - 19 year old jazz diva Victoria Hart and the award winning Pavao String Quartet.
Victoria Hart's debut album "Whatever Happened To Romance" was released in July 2007 and "Mood Swings", a 6 track EP featuring some favourite songs, came out in February 2008. Victoria has "retro" film star looks, a quirky personality and that silky voice. Famous for performing in front of George Clooney in Cannes, the "singing waitress" is now bringing her unique musical style to fans the world over. Her 2nd full length album "The Lost Gershwin" is released on October 27th.
The last release from the Pavao String Quartet was "Dreaming", a collection of timeless melodies featuring the trademark velvety sound of these versatile musicians. "Dreaming" follows 2 hugely successful albums - "Someone To Watch Over Me", a new twist on some classic American songbook tunes and "The Christmas Collection", a critically acclaimed set of carols skilfully arranged by composer Carlo Martelli. The quartet has been together for 9 years and has appeared on record and in concert with countless famous names from both the pop and classical worlds. The girls were nominated for a Brit award this year.
Victoria Hart & Pavao regularly appear in concert together and have just completed their long awaited album "The Lost Gershwin", based around rare George Gershwin sheet music found stored in an attic by Kerenza, Pavao's leader. The album will be available online and in retail from Specific Jazz. Check out the video for the first single "I Won't Give Up" opposite.
