Lyve evyL the name itself truly exceeds the standards of what is to be expected in rap and hip hop music. Born in Brownsville Brooklyn, New York he grew up in rough surroundings that shaped his life and the realism to his approach in music. Witty punch lines, catchy phrases, metaphors, harmonizing choruses and creative storylines are just a part of the driving force behind what separates him from other lyricists’. Known for lines such as: “I don’t just rap every battle has a theme……….you ain’t a gangster you wear Apple Bottom jeans”. He is just one piece to an illustrious group of an independent artist movement known as “Guttasnype”. Guttasnype consists of songwriters, a production team, managers, film, photography, visuals and many other aspects of the music business. Lyve evyL gained a love, respect and appreciation for music at a very young age. By the age of 12 he was already taking his first steps into writing poetry. Poetic expression was the birth and the creative point that would bring about the hard punch line storyteller and conscious spitting lyricist that he is today. “My first approach at song writing, I considered myself corny”. “I touched on topics that were just too serious to be expressed so morbidly into a rhyme form”. “I was preaching instead of entertaining”. Upon the completion of his first solo mixtape entitled “Come In 2 My World” which features 22 tracks, Lyve evyL made his voice heard for the 1st time in NYC. He has also featured on mixtapes by D.J. Elliot Grinch, Strong Arm Entertainments’ “Ghetto Acid-volume 1” and a radio commercial for Touro College’s DMX audio production program. Lyve’s second mixtape entitled “Evyl’s Coming” is scheduled to drop in late spring and “Failure Is Not An Option” an album drops by late summer. Lyve evyL has performed at showcases and open mic venues such as: 1.”The Pyramid” in NYC hosted by “End of the Week”. 2.”Bruse Wayne Entertainments” independent artists showcase at the “Remote Lounge” on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. 3. Performed @ “Styles Barbershop” in East New York Brooklyn for a cable access television show. 4.”The Virginia House Of Comedy” in Virginia Beach in front of artist such as “BlackStreet” producer Teddy Riley and the Rough Ryders. 5. At ”Crash Mansion” in NYC Guttasnype Head lined a showcase for “Executive Lounge Entertainment”. Lyve evyL’s presence is definitely felt at any open mic’s or shows that he grabs the mic. With his talent of writing, his show presence alongside his talent for production and graphic illustration is sure to make Lyve evyL a household name. For Lyve evyL the quest to be heard and to make a serious impression be felt in the world of not only hip hop but music in general is drive that is never ending! .
