2007 L.O.A. Tour 6/3 through 6/7

About Me

“THE L.O.A. (LIVE ON ARRIVAL) TOUR” 2007FEATURING ABORIGINAL AND NICKELFrom New York to Miami, this summer, Miami, rock/rap band Aboriginal and Brooklyn based MC, Nickel are teaming up for The L.O.A. (Live on Arrival) Tour.” Aboriginal, the headlining act is a five piece band who’s high energy sound is comparable to the likes of Linkin’ Park, or Rage Against the Machine. They have been bringing down houses for years in South Florida and with the completion of their new album, “4.656%” are looking to expand their horizons into the Northeast. Complimenting them, as the opening act is Nickel, a hip hop veteran, also putting his first solo album out on time for the tour. Aboriginal DJ Giogrephy produced a good portion of his album, “The Journey of Plato the Orphan,” Both Discrete of Aboriginal, and Nickel are world class lyrical technicians whose stage presences demand attention. Their lyrics personify the youthful, rebellious voice of the “Gen-X ‘ers.” Both acts have been steadily building followings online and are prepared to take advantage of these avenues to bring out those ready to party and get live. The tour has 3 shows in NYC and 1 in CT. Surprise city in the works still!

Band Members: BREAK FROM THE NORM//FRESH NEW SOUNDS IN HIP HOP AND ROCK... ABORIGINAL, the first of its kind, this definition has been a way of life for the five members of Miami’s own urban/experimental rock band for the last eight years. Not only are all five members the original lineup, but also they have outlasted many of their music peers in the harsh glitz glamour world of Miami’s live scene. Consisting of Miguel on lead vocals, Giogrephy working the keyboards, DJ, and percussion, Andres playing lead guitars, Rodolpho on the bass and Eric keeping time on the drums, all come together to form ABORIGINAL at its finest. Such a band has played about every single venue in the vast city like Billboard Live, Jazid, Flavour, Studio A, Pawn Shop, Purdy Lounge, and hundreds more, plus opening up for acts like Tha Alkoholiks, Black Sheep, L.A. Guns, and Slightly Stoopid, creating a local buzz that you just have to see live to believe. ABORIGINAL recently released their first full length album, 4.656% in March 2007 and wish on touring to promote the album’s release. Currently signed to indies own Gorilla 12 Pack records. ABORIGINAL has a sound that can only be explained by a relationship between band & audience alike. For more information please feel free to visit www.myspace.com/abo for show dates and some songs from the album 4.656%.In a time when over-commercialization has begun limiting artistic boundaries, Nickel emerges as an MC whose success thrives on his individualistic nature. Through an onslaught of charismatic, lyrical fury, he conveys a message to the listener to live their lives to the fullest, as they feel fit, not as they are expected. In a backdrop set in New York City, where an overwhelming demand has been resurging for “real hip-hop,” NICKEL stands out as a prime candidate to lead the way. -----------------------------------------------For 8 years NICKEL was a key component in a soulful hip hop band in Miami known as The Linx. After making a good run they decided to part ways. He chose to return to the Northeast, settling in Brooklyn, NY. NICKEL now stands poised to make much noise this summer with his first solo release, "The Journey of Plato the Orphan." His Loose Lips mixtape CD's are currently out and circulating throughout New York, Connecticut, Florida and a flurry of other cities.. ----------------------------------At the heart of Nickel’s music lies a message of rebellion; against the social norm, against corporate/government corruption, against “cookie cutter rap.” But make no mistake about it, his catchy flow and larger than life attitude is appealing to the masses. If you ask Nickel who his influences are, you may be surprised to receive a response such as Bob Marley, or Jimmy Hendrix. This not something that you expect to hear from a lyricist such as himself . But when you understand that it is not the style of presentation, but the ideal, which he draws from them, you begin to see the making of an icon. MyGen Profile Generator
