I have been learning to read music and play the sax now for just over 5 months and I just can’t get enough!!! In some ways I feel like I am playing catch up because I am starting at such a late age, either way I am determined to learn. I have a great teacher; some may call him a legend because he as done some much for jazz music hear in Birmingham England, his name is Andy Hamilton (from Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes). After only 12 weeks he pushed my son and I to perform at his Club the Cork Club in Birmingham. I hit a few bum notes and missed a few keys but it was all good fun my son did great. I purchased a Selmer Ref 54 but I still have a ways to go to get it to sing the way I want it to, but believe me I will get there! anyway I appreciate any advice anyone is willing to give...
