The END for Big Sausage Pizza
ATTENTION ladies and gentlemen, lovers of Big Sausage Pizza. I regret to announce, this is the last slice for Big Sausage Pizza. BSP as a band, under this name is going to retire and will never play under this name again.
There are a couple of facts I must lay out first before you all go and kill yourselves because you are maddened with grief at our sudden departure:
Fact1: Nick our beloved bandmate is unable to carry on in the band. Nick as you know is a fighting ass motherfucker and that is his passion. He loves MMA and is pursueing his MMA career. He will no longer be able to play steady with us due to his training regimin and schedule.
Fact2: No Nick = No Band...PERIOD. I have always been a firm believer that each player brings an important element to a band. When you spend that much time with musicians from different backrounds, and that much time fine tuning, rehearsing and such, you evolve into a biological musical machine that is unique. When one element is taken out, you are no longer that complex-musical biological entity. Sure, we "could' replace Nick and keep on going, but then we would no longer be that entity, that machine that is Big Sausage Pizza.
Fact3: Honestly, its bad enough we are a cover band, but we are also violating copyright laws by getting gigs under the name "Big Sausage Pizza"....We are a lawsuit waiting to fucking happen, so sooner or later we had to lose that name......
Fact4: Tato and I had been wanting to change the name for a long time, but people loved Big Sausage Pizza so much it was just too hard....we made it a goal to be rid ourselves of BSP by the new year......28days later, we have done it.
You can still catch Tato, Willy and I jamming here and there. I am sure there is going to be some projects comming up in the future and stuff already in the works. Tato and I got a few things in mind and of course Willy the ever creating artist is always down for a Jam. I am sure we can get Nick to tag a long and jam here and there, but as an actively gigging band, we are throwing in the towel.
Thanks for all the support and love from the FANS, friends, and family out there who came along for this wild ride. Thanks to ALL who came out to the shows, booked us, and partied with us. Thanks to Chris Garza of Suicide Silence, my cuz for jamming with us whenever he wasnt off in some distant death metal tour and letting us all live vicariously thru his rockstar fame...hahaha...... Thanks to Close Enough for the support and fun jams. Thanks to Marc Navarro for help picking out the name in the first place...dude we watch WAAAAAAAAAAAY to much porn......hahahaha
