Rabbit's Rum on iTunesJack Rabbit hails from Antarctica, Rum-Pot from Mojave grounds. Consider this... somewhere east of equatorial Ecuador, Jack Rabbit and Rum Pot approach. In Rum-Pot's row boat a shruti box saturates the evening air with a stately shimmering drone, while her Japanese kitten Ikue keeps watch and purrs upon the bow. And what's this approaching North? From open ocean Jack Rabbit sits, resting head on hands, his row boat rocking in the waves. And, upon his rocking bow an 808, that box containing thundering drums. And what is this? A pile of twisted wires and arcane gear streamed amongst the rope and oars and there a laptop stocked with clever custom code pumps out mysterious sounds.
There wasn't much to say amongst the sound of beats and drones but lyrics came soon after. What else to do but lash the boats and set forth to foreign lands. And then somewhere east of Dharamsala and North of Ladakh, Tibet or Kathmandu? A starry night beset Rum Pot's thought with constellations stars and Rabbit cloaked in Taoist robes. Then new course was set, North of Earth and East of Moon where rowboats loose their course and travel cannot be on foot or boat, but only ridden to on streams of bubbles from the center of the mind. What place is this? Let's call it Rabbit's Rum.
