My Interests

Music:

Band Website: bigdogmurphy.com
Band Members: Michael "Big Dog" Murphy - lead guitar/lead vocals. Rick "Smokey" Smith - bass guitar, (Formerly with blues legend Bryan Lee). "Steady'" Don Berry - drums, (Formerly of Otis and the Alligators.)
Influences: Magic Slim, Otish Rush, Buddy Guy, Scott Holt, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Tinsley Ellis, Albert King, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Leadbelly, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor..........
Sounds Like: Michael sounds like Michael. He covers a lot of tunes, but he doesn't copy anyone. He has developed his own style, and is constantly growing with each outing. Never satisfied to just sit still, he is always trying new things, and new ways to present classic material. But, if you like aggressive blues in the style of Tinsley Ellis, Roy Buchanan or SRV, then you will like Michael.
Record Label: Indie
