Somali King

First off, no, I'm not from Somalia, and no, my music has nothing to do with Somalia. My name is just Somali, and that's about all the connection I have to Somalia. I grew up on the lower east side in New York, and I've relocated to Atlanta. I've traveled around a lot inbetween. Connecticut, New Orleans, Baltimore, stops in Philly, Florida, and the all the states in between New York and Atlanta. Hip hop was the sound and vibe I grew up with, and it's been a big part of my life for many years now. I've been infuenced by the flavor of all the different places I've been to, the different styles, cultures, and also the similarities. Starting out after grade school with a paper and a pencil writing poetry, to bringing it to this level of recording and producing and writing has really been an amazing experience. I'm here to connect with anyone who loves the game. Collaborations with other artists, spins with DJ's, Mixtapes, Features, whatever it is.
