Tracks are not strategically cut up. Rather more, they are done so in a quite ruthless fashion. Re-laying and re-assembling these cut up bits and bobs creates a new edit of the track. Nothing is added. No additional beats, no extra synth noises, no 'harder better faster stronger' acapella, not even any chili sauce. With a strangely balanced combination of perfectionism and impatience, the result sometimes ends up as a bit of a mess, however some 'attempts' sound ambitiously barbaric.
