I'm ok with being unimpressive. I sleep better.

About Me

Risque Lyts
Hi. I'm Frank. I consider myself to be intriguingly plain. I like to think that I'm a pretty laid-back guy. I don't let stuff get to me because there's really not enough time in life to be bent out of shape for most of it. I like to sleep, read, write, listen to music and watch movies. I love to people watch and daydream. I let my mind wander sometimes. I'm a junior at Sacramento State, majoring in journalism. My dream job would be as a film critic. I have an awesome group of friends who always make me smile. I love getting stuck in traffic on road trips, listening to Bohemian Rhapsody, and the smell of commerce in the morning. I have a lovely girlfriend who makes passing the time so easy. I can't wait for summer, but can't stand the heat. I like to take every opportunity I can get, while I can get it. I like to surround myself with intelligent, funny and balanced people. I like to quote movies and make up my own songs. I moonlight as a Transformer. More than meets the eye. Just like Optimus Prime. I'm going to name my first born Pumpkin Escobar, or Weapon X, I haven't decided. ps) I love my girlfriend very much. ♥!

My Interests

I love to write! I also love watching movies, playing music and making up new words. I like concerts, taking pictures and reading books. I like to make things up sometimes. I love going to barbeques and drinking beer in the summer time. I love playing with my dogs, Mackie and Waldo. I love hanging out with my girlfriend and looking up dead people on the Internet Movie Database at 2 a.m. I love eating sushi and make-believe time with telemarketers. I thoroughly enjoy midget breakdancing and turkey sandwiches, not necessarily in that order.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone who'd like to have a good conversation and share insights. I'd also like to meet the inventor of the peanut, George Washington Carver.

Music:

My music tastes have changed dramatically over the past couple of years. I still like all kinds of music from hip-hop to punk. That about covers the whole spectrum with the lone exception being country. I'll listen to classical before country. Here's an updated playlist for your personal reference, just in case you were wondering what I'm listening to at any given moment: Postal Service, Blackalicious, Green Day, Deftones, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine, the Killers, the Garden State Soundtrack, Talib Kweli, Coldplay, Mos Def, Saves the Day, Nas, Foo Fighters, old school Wu Tang, Gorillaz, Eric B. and Rakim, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, The Transplants, Alien Ant Farm, A Tribe Called Quest, even a little Grandmaster Flash, Rufio, Fall Out Boy, Social Distortion, Kanye West, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, the Shins, AFI, Rise Against, Lynus, the Hit You in the Heads, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Audioslave, Emery.

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Lord of the Rings, Tarantino Flicks: Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2. Star Wars OT, Fight Club, Ghost World, Se7en, Requiem for a Dream, Go, Almost Famous, Made, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the Boondock Saints, 28 Days Later, Groove, Big Fish, SLC Punk, Swingers, High Fidelity, Kevin Smith movies: Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, American Psycho, Monkeybone, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Hellboy, Batman, Superman II, Sid and Nancy, Super Size Me, Shattered Glass, Pieces of April, Lost in Translation, Equilibrium, The Station Agent, Sideways, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Tape, Ghost Dog, The Graduate, The Godfather, I Heart Huckabees, Napoleon Dynamite, the Way of the Gun, Batman Begins, X-Men 1 and 2, Lucky Number Slevin, Thank You for Smoking, the Professional, Tape, Before Sunset, School of Rock, King Kong, the 40 Year Old Virgin, Harry Potter flicks, Shaun of the Dead and other zombie flicks, and much, much more!

Television:

I don't really watch a lot of TV, but when I do it's mainly cartoons and comedy. I love almost everything on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim: Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the Brak Show, Family Guy, the Oblongs, Home Movies. Man, that's a great line-up. I also watch a lot of Comedy Central: Chappelle's Show, South Park, Comedy Central Presents, Insomniac, etc. Basically if it's infantile or animated, or both, I'm there. Oh, I also have a guilty pleasure addiction to the OC. It's good. I also really like Scrubs.

Books:

I read sometimes, mainly magazines: I read EW, Rolling Stone, GMR, and the tabloids. People and Star Magazines are like car accidents. They're horrible, but you just can't look away. I read the newspaper as often as I can. I like to keep up somewhat with current events.

Heroes:

Heroes are over-rated, Bob Marley is under-rated. Captain Planet is NOT a hero.
