Influences: Creative rock bands usually in the darker/progressive/guitar driven/melodic/frontman centered realm--from Axl Rose to Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac, and many in between. . .the creative frontman/guitarist composer approach -- the contrast in personality and vibe onstage -- the charismatic, raw, fearless frontman. . .one who can write, focus, push the envelope, and not let personal demons or issues hinder the progress and connection. In Axl's case his actions probably imploded the band and its potential. Some favored vocalist/frontmen: Maynard James Keenan, Jimmy Gnecco from the band Ours, Jeff Buckley, Bono, David Lee Roth, Axel, Eddie Vedder, Vinnie Dombroski from Sponge, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, Scott Weiland, the list goes on. . .Band influences in no particular order: The Beatles, Our Lady Peace, Filter, STP, Guns N Roses, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Sunny Day Real Estate, Tears For Fears, Duran Duran, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Genesis, Yes, Joe Satriani, Ours, Eric Johnson, The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, The Pretenders, Mudvayne, Dream Theater, Tori Amos, Bjork, U2, Prince, Van Halen. . .again the list goes on : )The ambience, originality, frontman's delivery, band's delivery, virtuosity, emotion behind it, imagination, confidence, mystery, stadium crushing riffing, are all equally important.
Sounds Like: Mystical, cascading layered explosions of dark-oriented melody, glimmerings of spirit/hope/loss/death/dame-chasing/connect/disconnect/imagi nation/fiction, brooding contours of riffing . . .ultimately hope it sounds like my self . . .
