Meet Rabbit Fighter. A rock-and-roll band composed of four Native
Missourians: Trevor Thornton as lead singer and guitarist,
Andy Putnam on guitar, Adam McGrath on drums, and Heath Lanyon on bass.Formed almost two years ago, Trevor and Adam (bandmates in a previous group) joined friends Heath and Andy (formerly each in other bands as well) and Rabbit Fighter was born of the mutual desire to create studio music and to tour, getting their music out to as many listeners as they can, live and on cd.Composing their own songs, such as "Stuck In The Mud" and the show-stopper "Shake It," Rabbit Fighter’s sound and attitude were influenced by a wide range of musical greats, from Johnny Cash, the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Super Grass, and T. Rex, whose song inspired the band’s name.Recent Rabbit Fighter shows have included the House of Blues in Chicago (where they opened for Better Than Ezra), as well as gigs in Baton Rouge, Mobile, Kansas City and The Ballroom in Springfield, Missouri.bio written by: Melanie Faith
