Cash Cows

About Me

The Cash Cows are Robbie Humphries (guitar, harmonica & vocals) and Brendan Rowley (double bass & vocals). Formed 5 years ago at Newcastle University, Cash Cows began as a successful busking outfit and quickly moved on to playing weddings, restaurants, corporate events and parties in Newcastle and across the country. They have also supported Hayseed Dixie and Alan Fletcher (aka Karl Kennedy from Neighbours), and played storming sets at Sunrise, Big Green Gathering and Edinburgh Festivals.
Since moving to London 9 months ago, Cash Cows have continued going from strength to strength, with a monthly slot at The Oxo Tower restaurant, appearing nationwide on T Mobile posters, busking at the capitals’ markets and a recent trip out to entertain the crowds at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Highly accomplished musicians with a love of performing, a joyous sense of humour and dapper dress sense, the Cash Cows are perfect for any occasion. They play an intriguing and instantly loveable mix of singalong hits from the last century, in a unique, upbeat style, that keeps people on the dance floor. They are equally at home playing acoustically or through a PA and the ease and speed with which they can set up and play anywhere is always a hit with organisers. No wires, no fuss, no hassle!
Also available for gigs are Cash Cows Extreme with drummer Joe “Engine Room” Truswell and saxophone and/or fiddle if required. For a complete evenings package they can even provide a PA and DJ between sets.
Cash Cows play: corporate functions; university balls; weddings; television adverts; birthday parties; sporting events; festivals; on boats, trains and buses; pubs, clubs, house parties and barbeques; on the street and in parks for local councils; art shows; office Christmas parties; in short: anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

The Troubadour

How nice it was yesterday to be in The Troubadour on Old Brompton Road. They do 2-4-1 cocktails on a Sunday afternoon, the Strawberry Dailquiri is really good. Whilst slurping the bottom of the second...
