Silver Box started up under another moniker in 1994.
With a Novation BassStation and an Amiga 500 for company.
Tucked away in a nice little bedsit in Oxfordshire.
Pretty soon he outgrew the room.
And he got himself a flat with a bird.
But after a while he drove her mad.
With beeps and burps and noise.
And she left.
Silver Box moved too.
And he found himself some new friends.
Akai samplers, a JX3P, a Juno... all this retro crap.
And pretty soon the band was complete.
He even got another bird.
This one was far more tolerant of all the sqeals and racket.
And things were good.
But soon he cut himself off in his land of noise.
And the new bird left.
And so Box and all friends moved again.
This time they lived in a house.
The Amiga moved out, and in came a PC.
He then started using software to create noises.
Hardware and software - perfect harmony.
These days Silver Box is older.
He still beeps and growls.
In fact he growls a lot.
And he's got another new bird.
But this one seems to like his noise.
So fingers crossed....
