Anal Traffic
Pushing queer punk rock in a latex glove to the shoulder, Brisbane's Anal Traffic may mince, but certainly not words. Packing 80's synth lines with in your face punk rock, the boys know how you touch you up with songs about fucking straight men, fisting and messy sex. Pretty much a usual Anal Traffic Friday night.
Silver Sircus
Core Silver Sircus members James Lees & Lucinda Shaw (formerly of
celebrated Brisbane band ISIS) bring together theatrical, performance &
musical backgrounds to present their vision of all things dark & glamorous,
blackly comic, carnivelesque, beautiful & grotesque. Â Performing for the
first time as a five-piece (with new guitarist Mark Angel), Silver Sircus
will perform songs from their two recent CD's 'Soveriegnty' and 'Dark Back
Garden' Eps.
Lesbian Super Group
Mel, Sue, Shiv & Ruth have been solving musical mysteries everywhere from GirlFest to Gatton. The rule of the troupe is to have a laugh, leaving behind elements of their solo musical journeys to bust apart gangs of hits and favourites that we all know and love.
Usual reactions to the awesome foursome are shock and awe however sightings of LSG have also know to send people into spontaneous dance and/or nonharmonious singing.
They strive for musical justice and the lesbian way!
Twist Oliver Twist
Twist Oliver Twist are 4 boys and a man who in their spare time enjoy dabbling in dark and melodic movement based music. With synths, bass, drums and vocals they create music that is probably best described as a mix of electronica with elements of 80s pop and a little dash of punk rock.
Jacob Diefenbach
Little over a year ago, you had a better chance of spotting Jacob dancing at “The Beat†than performing at “The Zoo". But in that short time, Jacob has firmly established himself on Brisbane's local music scene with his prodigious piano skills and instantly memorable vocal sound. With a constant string of electric live perfomances, Diefenbach has had a year worthy of most season performers, let alone his first year on the job.
