I was a BIG SONICS fan, but with that crazy drama-drama, I think I'm having a change of heart. I'm a SURFER GRRL at heart. I like museums and movies and walks in the city (when it's NOT raining). I like a good bottle of wine and a great book.
Now that I've had this MySpace account for a little while, I know what kind of people I DON'T want to meet. If you are some organization or head-hunter--DON'T FRIEND ME. If you are the kind of guy who only seems to 'friend' asian females, CROSS ME OFF YOUR LIST. Let's get real, it's a little serial killer/stalker and just plain creepy. If you are the type of guy who has nothing but half-nekkid females and 'girls-gone-wild' type of sh*t on your page, (I don't think I need to say this again, but I will, just in case you're not seeing a pattern here), PLEASE spare me. You may notice that I have a few people on my friends list that meet these undesirable qualities, please don't hold it against me, I know them. I want to meet people who like to go out and do things, who don't need to party to have a good time, and who can manage to converse without saying 'like' a dozen or more times.
I'm ashamed to say that I really haven't gotten too much into the local music scene. I have to credit the people around my for influencing my tastes. R&B, Reggae, anything by Atmosphere, jazz, essentially all of the types of music that you don't have to be in a 'mood' to listen to. Radio station of choice lately? 90.3 KEXP. Check out Saturdays between 9am and Noon (Is anyone up that early?)
I have to admit that I'm a 'happy endings' kind of grrl, but have begun to appreciate the edgier action flicks (i.e. Crank). Comedies are always great, but I'm a little wary of 'chick flicks'. There's just something disturbing about paying $10 to see a movie that shows something that the majority of the public wants, but can't have. (Doves and violins my ass)
Does anyone NOT watch the food network? I have to admit that it's one of my staples, but I REFUSE to watch Emeril. (BAM! BAM! SHUT THE F*CK UP!) I love Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy, but can't stand the fact that I've allowed myself to be drawn into a television series. I do not want to be one of those crazy-ass Smallville/OC fans- it scares me.
As you can tell from my pics, I have a dog. Here's the problem- she doesn't like ANYBODY that's not related to me. So I've mainly been reading dog psychology/ behavior books. Last thing I want is a lawsuit because she decides to take someone's finger off. Other than that, I love sci-fi (yes, I'm an undercover geek) and the occasional historical romance, and a great mystery.
