-Sound of Sulfur Bio-
Loren (Nerol) Moore, a musician searching for a dream, creating his own work, became dissatisfied with previous bands. Nerol deciding to follow his dream created a band of his own. A local punk band's drummer, Rob White was interested in playing drums and is now the current drummer. Later, browsing on Myspace videos in a local cover band discovered, Phil Ward, as previous bassist. After playing with numerous guitarists and patiently waiting to boost the stage sound, the band made some dramatic changes, and came across current bassist, Taylor Grossman. With Phil's knowledge of all the band's guitar chords, Phil switched to guitar with his hard-binding delay and special effects playing. The band has discovered an extremely stable setup, with energetic and firm quality performances.
Now while rising out of today's dead music scene, the band hopes to impress with their distinctive beats and catchy melodies, inspirational lyrics, and evolved music style to bring back the quality and true meaning of music. Each month, bringing more fans each show to such venues as The Max, Curtain Club, House of Blues, Ridglea Theater, Six Flags and more..
The name Sound of Sulfur derived from the idea of a very small percentage of sulfur in our bodies, and in which music is something that we can all relate to in the form of entertainment, expressing ourselves, or escaping. As a result, SoS's songs encompass people, relationships, and/or society involving personal experiences and perceptions/hopes/goals of life.
