The pensive Adam Gussow is a young university professor, published author, and talented harmonica player. Their tense meeting on 125th Street in Harlem during a racially charged 1980's New York defied cultural expectations, and set them on a musical odyssey that would forever change their lives and the audiences they inspired.Scott Balcerek documents Adam's ten-year "Blues apprenticeship" with Satan, their painful separation, Satan's mysterious disappearance, and the hard cultural and personal realities of their reunion.
