From a young age he got inspired by many different kinds of Alternative Music. Starting with Reaggea, Punkrock & 60's tunes and from there on he discovered the Electronic Music-scene and what it had to offer. Then in 1999 He attended his first GOA-Party and from there on it's history. He started spinning the decks and he teamed up with his friend Bram Vanarwegen to form the dj-duo Strophoria. They performed @ their first gig in februari 2002 and shortly after that, they became residents @ the Madhatter party-organisation. From there on,they started to spread their vibe across Belgium & abroad. They spinned their tunes @ numerous smaller & bigger partys and got the chance to play along side acts like : Infected Mushroom,Electric Universe, Vibrasphere,Vibe Tribe,Dimension 5,Shiva Jorg,Gataka,U-Recken;Andromeda, Aquatica,Ephedrix,Lani,Bitkit,Digicult,Gaudium,Switch,Biotou ch,............... A long the years Joeri started to do more & more gigs alone, but occasionaly Bram get's back behind the decks and gives the best of himself. Strophoria's style depends on a lot of things ; the party,the time,the party-people. It can go from twisted & crazy night-trance to psychedelic & uplifting sounds when the sun is comming up or when the party is comming to an end. Everything to get the Trancefloor Rocking out of their Body.In 2006 Joeri also founded the party-organisation Unio Mystica , together with co-founders Dj Sytrix & Dj norion. Their goal is to bring exclusive partys with exclusive concepts. With magnificent decorations & cutting-edge music, variating in style to please every kind of music/art-lover. Watch out for this events.Other projects of Strophoria are Dj Tension & Sacred Ritual. As Dj Tension,he brings you carefully selected trax to enchant everybody who loves Deep Basslines, groovy rythims & sophisticated Beat bleeps. Tension is also producing ....wait & hear..:-) As Sacred Ritual,he's producing twisted psytrance with elements from the darkish scene aswell as uplifting melodys to lift the Trancefloor up into Eternal Bliss.Stay up to date.....see ya on the Trancefloor...
