About Me

Welcome to my page!

I love to meet new people, especially those with a positive outlook on life. So please, don't be shy. Pull up a chair, share a cup of coffee and some laughter with me, and let's visit for awhile.

This Thursday's Child has far to go, but I'm grateful for the journey so far. Sometimes the path leads me through a quagmire (oh yes, definitely), but there always seems to be a valuable lesson buried in the muck. Looking back so far, I have to say I've been blessed.
I'm 48 now, and proud to report that after a lifetime of effort and growth, I have reached the emotional maturity of a tempestuous 11-year old. This give me much in common with my daughter of that age.
My son is 16. About three years ago, aliens abducted him and replaced him with one of their own.
I'm thankful that my husband has put up with me for 25 years. He is my hero, and helps me retain my remaining shreds of sanity. He actually cooks, does housework, and laughs at my lame jokes. Is it any wonder why I'm crazy about this guy?!
Our (first) grandson, Logan Rae, was born November 27, 2007. His first year flew by so quickly! We can't wait to share many more fun memories together.
Other Stuff:
When I grow up, I want to illustrate children's books and have some fun job playing with computer graphics.
My favorite food is Tex Mex and garlic chicken pizza with artichoke hearts, spinach, and feta cheese. Oh yeah, and Chicken Scratch Souffle'.
Chick-lit is my guilty pleasure. I am a sucker for happy endings.
Speaking of Happy Endings...
I'm suffused with gratitude and joy because an amazing guy I met named Jesus, who just happens to be God, assures me that I'm destined for a happy ending. He's kept all his promises so far, so there's no reason to doubt him now.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd Like to Meet:

My destiny! Important Deadlines! Walt Disney. Jan Brett. Leonardo DaVinci. Dolley Madison. Steve Carrell. Joan Cusack rocks! Amelia Earhart (what happened to you, anyway?) Anderson Cooper. The person in charge of the Smithsonian's archives. Orville Redenbacher (gotta love that popcorn!). Myspace friends known only virtually to me so far.

I'm hoping Myspace will connect me with creative people with similar interests: writing, drawing, learning to mine life for the treasures that are hidden in the mess.
