From a young age, Shontay "lady Tay" Sims knew a life of struggle which forced her to develop her own hustlers ambition. Her family was leading a life of self destruction and at a young age she too seemed to be following the same path. Throughout her years living through police raids catching drug cases and being abused and growing up with no father at home, Tay maintained. It was a while in school that every day Tay realized the life she was leading was not in which had great promised for the future. She was determined to make it out of the hood and a better life for her self and her family. Tay became persistent in pursuing a rap career full time, from recording in closets until now recording in multi-million dollar studios. Mytsro, CEO of Grimmyville records, who saw unlimited potential in Tay and began working right away. Lady Tay was also featured in movies, commercials and DVDs. The latest movie was produced by Robert Townsend. LadyTay has performed with big name artist such as Lil Wayne, Fat Joe and the Terror Squad, Jada Kiss, and many more.
