Out of Detroit Michigan, home of the legendary Motown, New York City's is now going to be blessed with the sweet and powerful voice of LayLee
Born and raised on the west side of Detroit, LayLee starting singing at the age of 5 in the church along with her 5 siblings. Her interest and talent developed as she sang lead and backup vocals for an uncles' local band, the "Wilson's ." She gradually built on her experience later as she landed backup singing engagements with Barry Manilow, the Judd Sisters, and numerous Gospel acts, including the Praise Fest held annually in Detroit Michigan.
Leading off with original ballads like " Trying to get to know you " and " Rest of My Life," LayLee's songwrighting ability only strengthened and soon produced an array of music, with up tempo club bangers such as " First Things First " and " Why ," LayLee's trained soft but yet powerful voice combines with Detroit's and New York's finest producers such as Ross Royal Beats, Mark Dixen, Rockwilder, Joe Lindsay, P-moe, and many more to create a hip hop soul feel that will return listeners to its early 90's hey day.
Inspired by legends such as Darenda Clark Coles and Jimmy Moss and influenced by current favorites such as Mary J. Blige, Brandy, Celine Dion, a nd Whitney Houston, LayLee's Midwestern/East cost charged urban soul is sure to touch people's souls with music that is drawn from her personal life experiences
