What better way to start a DJ career, than having the legendary MC 5ive-0 rewind the second tune on your debut set at Hysteria at 3am! Then, MC’s Trigga and Bassman effortlessly riding your tunes like some sort of rehearsed show! The crowd went mad, and there was some mashed up raver at the front with his top off shouting and pointing at B-52 for the reload!! The girls were winding and the club was red hot! Bassman leant over the decks to salute B-52 and once again the rewind came!!
That’s how it did happen and now nearly Four years down the line B-52 still holds down a residency at one of the biggest and longest running Drum n Bass raves in the world! Almost every artist in the Drum n Bass game has performed at Hysteria and the nights are renowned for their exclusive vibe and atmosphere!

At present, B-52 co-promotes Decibel, a monthly night held at 53 Degrees in Preston, with a friend and fellow DJ Sub-Low, currently booking the cream of Drum n Bass to perform, such as Pendulum, Ray Keith, Chase & Status, Lemon D, Clipz, Nicky Blackmarket, Adam F, Friction, Skibadee, Fearless, Grooverider, Sappo and the Scratch Perverts, with many more still to come!!!!!
Decibel only began in September 2005 and after a string of successful nights at Club Solid they moved to 53 Degrees (www.53degrees.net)in March 2006 and teamed up with Drum n Bass promotion pioneers Metropolis (www.metropolisuk.com).
The relationship has gone from strength to strength and each night has got better and better thanks to the combination of an excellent venue, artists, talented resident DJ's & MC's and an absolutely wicked crowd!! Decibel's reputation has soared amongst Drum n Bass fans around the North West, and we like to think of it as an experience more than just a club night!!
B-52 is a consistent feature on most Drum n Bass line ups around the North West with regular bookings and residencies in Preston, Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and Macclesfield and also reaching as far as Stoke And Leicester.
