BIG KEN ~~~ Born Kenneth Spears on December 28,1978 in Los Angeles, California, But moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1980. Big Ken is tha 5th born child of 6. (1 Girl & 5 Boys). He grew up in tha Rockwell Gardens Projects on Chi-Town’s westside. Big Ken kinda had it ruff comin up, From losin his mother in 86 when he was only 7 yearsold, Losin his oldest brother Willie (Killa Will) Spears in a gang related drive by shootin in 91, & then losin his father due to an murder suicide his father did. After that Big Ken had no choice but to get out & get on tha streets & Grind Hard like any otha dude in his shoes would do. Big Ken always did have talent right alone with all his other siblings. Threw out tha Mid 90s Big Ken grew up Rapping & makin underground tapes with his younger brother & Beat Maker Dwight (Wighty) Spears. He also had recorded a couple of other songs with his other brother Litt (Slick Litt) Spears who had already had his own studio at tha time. But with all tha talent & good music he dropped, Big Ken never really took tha whole music thang seriously like that tho, He just stayed out there on tha streets still on tha grind. By tha year of 1999 Big Ken had spent a couple of months in tha Cook County Jail due to voilation of probation. But he stayed writing Raps tha whole time he was in there. He had wrote so much that it was enough to record an whole album. When he finally was realeased later that year, Big Ken had finally decided that Rapping was his thang & thats what he really wanted to do. Thats when he had reunited back with his older Litt (Slick Litt) Spears & join his brother’s label (Slick Litt Entertainment). & from there on Big Ken stayed droppin Hitz after Hitz still up til this day.found this
