Sono cresciuto a Novellara in provincia di Reggio Emilia, nella “palude”. Meglio conosciuta come la cittadina de: I Nomadi - di Augusto Daolio. Ho iniziato a suonare la batteria all’età di 15 anni, influenzato per lo più da mio fratello chitarrista ascoltando artisti come Steve Vai,Joe Satriani,Eric Johnson e suonando covers di tutti i tipi ma prevalentemente Rock/Hard rock, in particolare dei Mr.Big.
Inizio a studiare dal Maestro Claudio Scolari – Batterista/Percussionista/Compositore e collaboratore dell’orchestra sinfonica della Rai di Torino.
Nasce la mia prima cover band “Mindintravel”. Un misturotto,tra The Police,Dire Straits,Aerosmith,Red Hot Chili Peppers e chi più ne ha più ne metta!
Successivamente verso i 20-22 anni inizio a coltivare una forte passione per i ToTo, idolatrando naturalmente i due grandi batteristi Jeff Porcaro e Simon Phillips. Formo un’altra band - MalatiDiMenta – Tributo ai ToTo, con la quale ho fatto diverse esperienze live in locali della zona fino al 2008.
Sempre in quel periodo mi avvicino ad altre bands come: Steely Dan, Yes, Level 42, Gino Vannelli, Weather Report. Questi ultimi due,a mio avviso, tra i massimi esponenti del genere Fusion.
All’età di 23 anni entro a far parte del ReGospel coro di Reggio Emilia,in sostituzione del batterista originale,per un periodo di circa 6 mesi.
Nel 2007 intraprendo l’attività di insegnante nella scuola Cepam - circolo Arci di Reggio Emilia.
Da Gennaio 2009 faccio parte della Contrada Della Corte, gruppo di sbandieratori di Quattro Castella (RE).
Attualmente sono impegnato nella band MotherPhonic con la quale mi dedico a pezzi originali rock/pop/funk/indefinito…ma sono in cerca di una cover band per fare tante ma tante serate live!!!
I grew up in Novellara (Reggio Emilia) Italy, in the “marsh”! Better known as the city of : Nomadi, Augusto Daolio’s famous band in Italy. I started playing the drums at age 15, mostly influenced by my brother, a guitar player. Most of the time I used to listen to various artists such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and playing covers of all kinds, especially Rock/Hard Rock, in particular Mr.Big.
I started taking private lessons with Claudio Scolari – Drummer/Percussionist/Composer and member of the Symphonic Orchestra of Rai – Turin.
At this time my first cover-band “Mindintravel” was born. A strange mix of different kinds of music such as The Police, Dire Straits, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Later at age 20-22 I began growing such a strong passion for ToTo, worshipping the two great drum players Jeff Porcaro and Simon Phillips. I formed another band – MalatiDiMenta- a ToTo tribute band with which I played lots of live concerts around this area and made some musical experiences until 2008.
Right in that period I started getting closer and closer to other bands such as: Steely Dan, Yes, Level 42, Gino Vannelli, Weather Report. These last two bands in my opinion are among the maximum exponents of Fusion.
At age 23 I took part in the ReGospel choir of Reggio Emilia, replacing the original drummer for about 6 months.
In 2007 I undertook the activity of Teacher in a school called Cepam – Reggio Emilia.
I’ve been part of Contrada Della Corte since January 2009
At present I’m playing in a band called MothePhonic. We play original music Rock/Pop/Funk/Undefined style. But I’m looking for a cover-band to play many many live concerts with!!! MyWackoSpace Icons Collage MySpace Editor Photo Collage MySpace Backgrounds
