About Me

It's amazing how a few weeks time can change everything you thought might happen. I was pretty sure not so long ago that we'd be moving to Boston, and now my husband Matt is going to accept a position at Washington University in St.Louis, so that is officially where we are headed next. Been waiting a long, long time to get that news, and I cannot wait until the day comes that we are on a plane to leave this island life for good. Hawaii has been pretty good to us, but we've faced the fact that we're midwesterners at heart, and we're perfectly alright with that. Anyway can't wait to see what the future brings, it's an exciting time in our lives!
You Are an Old Soul
You are an experienced soul who appreciates tradition.
Mellow and wise, you like to be with others but also to be alone.
Down to earth, you are sensible and impatient.
A creature of habit, it takes you a while to warm up to new people.
You hate injustice, and you're very protective of family and friends
A bit demanding, you expect proper behavior from others.
Extremely independent you don't mind living or being alone.
But when you find love, you tend to want marriage right away.
Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul and Visionary Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?

My Interests

DAVE MATTHEWS & TIM REYNOLDS AT KOKUA FESTIVAL!!! Also interested in moving off of this island soon... very soon indeed.

I'd like to meet:

All the guys from Dave Matthews Band. They are the one and only band I have ever come across that make music that I could really connect with. I swear I've had some sort of out of body experience at a DMB show, and I also swear it wasn't drug induced... well not entirely anyway.

Music:

A few months ago I went to see a movie at the theater and there was a preview for this little indie film called 'Once'. The preview was only about 2 minutes long, but the music captured my attention immediately. I went in search of the soundtrack and found it at my local Best Buy. Basically it's the best CD I have purchased in the last 3 or 4 years. It's very acoustic for the most part, sung by a guy from Ireland named Glen Hansard.(who also has a band called The Frames)Anyway there is just something very raw and honest about the music, and I absolutely love it. This type of music is surely not everyone's cup of tea, but for those who appreciate unaltered, emotionally charged music you might want to give it a shot.Oh yeah, the movie was pretty awesome as well.

Movies:

I like movies that make me think and feel emotion. I also really enjoy documentaries. My all time favorite movie is Donnie Darko.

Television:

The First 48, Forensic Files, Lost, Scrubs

Books:

Just read: The Memory Keeper's Daughter
It was alright, a bit wordy and bogged down with detail at times, but the story was pretty interesting.

Heroes:

Trying to be my own hero.
