A native of North Florida, soprano Elizabeth Frampton is currently completing her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance at Stetson University. She is a scholarship student of renowned mezzo-soprano Mrs. Jane Christeson. Elizabeth is the recipient of the Florida Rock Scholars Award, the William E. Duckwitz Talent Scholarship, John V. Tyndall Scholarship and the Florida Medallion Scholarship. Additionally, she has won many competitions including the Daytona Beach Choral Society, Wednesday Music Club, and Regional NATS.A member of the professional chamber ensemble Elysium based in Atlanta, Georgia, under the direction of Dr. Alan Raines, Elizabeth has worked with conductors and directors such as Professor Anthony Hose, Dr. Bobby Adams and Dr. Duncan Couch, and has coached with Sherrill Milnes, Jeremy Hew Williams, Ed White, and Ken Griffiths. She has performed in several operas with the Stetson Opera Theatre. Her most recent spring 2008 appearance includes a performance in the role of “Pamina†in Stetson University’s production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
