On June 25th, 2007 , Mahasti passed away from colon cancer at the age of 60 in Santa Rosa, CA. She will be missed greatly but her voice will still live on and inspire people to go after their dreams. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, friend, performer, entertainer, and singer. Iran's banoo is not here but her voice and soul will be everlasting.
