Marmeduke

I am here for Friends

About Me

Ah, hello there, my name is Marmeduke. I currently have the honour to be employed by the British Geological Survey in Antarctica. The last bit was not entirely (well, at all) my idea. I am, all things being equal, more a lover of temperate climes, but an unfortunate to do with my creditors has necessitated a (rapid) change of locale. I am, by temperament, honest - even decent, dammit, just ask my local vicar - but sometimes life throws one an over of the most Godawful googlies, and corners are cut (as I believe the saying goes.) What one does next, I put it to you, determines the sort of chap one could (given understanding, compassion and a lenient magistrate) become. Truth be told, your humble correpsondent was not yet quite ready to "do the right (and really, what is RIGHT after all) thing" - I was found at Dover, and hauled in some discomfort back to the beak, where-upon my employers intervened with what I gather the criminal fraternity refer to as a plea bargain. Well, to cut a long story short, the upshot of all this was Marmeduke consenting to one year (minimum, good behaviour and all that etc) penguin duty.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

more lenient magistrates, friendly penguins
