THE POP LEAGUE formed in April 2007 as a means to share music along with 4 or 5 talented songwriter/singers I came across in MySpace. What better way to share fans in a Virtual Alliance. Fast-forward to 2008, and I have currently 40 Artists who I think are uniquely talented in their own musical spheres. I "have to" be a fan first if I am to invite them "in".Each has a certain "X" factor, that it hard to define, but I know it when I hear it. And if we attract New fans and friends we otherwise would not have, it is all the better.
The Pop League is a great showcase for VOCALS and the SONGS. All these unsigned artists have a lot to say and offer to the pop world. Together, I hope that The Pop League draws more attention to us, as an Alliance, and as individuals.

SONS OF NOW (Dublin, Ireland) This band has the guts and melodies to take them far. "LOCKDOWN" is a perfect example of a retro blues beat rocker that wins thru strong vocals and performance. Gotta see these guys live for best results, I would suspect. The boys from Dublin are creating an exciting new 'now'.

THE CONSTABULARY (Seattle, Washington USA) Steve is The Constabulary, a songwriter/singer/instrumentalist that caught my attention by saying, 'hey, how can I be in The Pop League?' and it took moments for me to think, yes, he fits perfectly....THIS BROKEN PICTURE is a great song, that features a Brian Wilsonish vocal style, dreampop melody and instrumentaion. Welcome to The Pop League!
WE GROW UP (Adelaide, Australia) A 4 piece band now, with essentially two songwriter/singers sharing lead vocals on the songs they wrote. "TURNING HEADS" featuring Anthony on lead vocals, with Jonathan coming in later on....from their upcoming Night Kitchens album...they call these B sides...is the latest entry in the Pop League. To me, there is a Finn Brothers quality to the writing from both Jon and Anthony....Somewhat quirky and romantic too...Great to have these Australian artists defy geography with superb writing... http://www.myspace.com/wegrowupand
"Adelaide [is] experiencing a pop renaissance of sorts, with We Grow Up part of this push for sonic sweetness." Lauren Boxhall DB magazine.
The SPECTACLES (USA) From wonderful Los Angeles, seeing things thru a unique, often humorous prism, Travis and Brent continue to record fresh, original songs. "SAME OLD STORY is another gem to add to the treasure chest of songs. Go go to their site for more swell songs!http://www.myspace.com/thespectaclesla
DEEP WILSON (UK) Psychedelic-tinged songs without sounding retro....""WITHOUT A SOUND" is another melody from these songcrafters that shows the imagination they have in bundles.
This is from their 2006 cd "ATOMIC DOLLY" details of availability is on their site...
