THE POP LEAGUE formed in April 2007 as a means to share music along with 4 or 5 talented songwriter/singers I came across in MySpace. What better way to share fans in a Virtual Alliance. Fast-forward to 2008, and I have currently 40 Artists who I think are uniquely talented in their own musical spheres. I "have to" be a fan first if I am to invite them "in".
Each has a certain "X" factor, that it hard to define, but I know it when I hear it. And if we attract New fans and friends we otherwise would not have, it is all the better.The Pop League is a great showcase for VOCALS and the SONGS. All these unsigned artists have a lot to say and offer to the pop world. MATT LANE (Dublin, IRELAND) SURRENDER TO SILENCE has the anthemic quality the best Irish bands have always had...sense of purpose overides studio qualities. Emotions and solid vocals carry the day here!
MY LUMINARIES (Reading/Manchester, UK) Big rock sound from this group of talents....guitars that tear down the walls of boredom and mediocrity....vocals for miles....great glamish song, "THE SOUND OF MUSIC"
THE ROUGHNECK RIOT (Warrington, UK) SINNERS AND SAINTS a kick in the face rocker....with a Joe Strummer quality vocal. This band ain't looking for a brawl, but this one will knock you down, for sure.
THE BOB LOVE TRIANGLE (Netherlands) CHEER ME UP is another example of dark, powerful songs by this artists...Coen IS the band, writing, arranging, playing and recording--he does it all....He is an important artist, and we look forward to each of his new songs here!
