I'm a Sociocultural Anthropologist, with a concentration in Native North America, specifically stereotypes and identity, ethnomusicology and material culture. I recently completed my BA (Summa Cum Laude) at MSUM. I am currently working on a PhD in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Wyoming, Laramie.I currently wear a few different occupational hats, including as an adjunct professor at LCCC, Ethnohistory journal editorial assistant, SHPO, and the American Heritage Center.I was formerly employed at one of the largest and most prestigious natural history museums in the world, and am enjoying every minute of it. I love my work and I can't wait for all the other opportunities ahead of me.I'm a hobbyist musician, and dig playing blues and 80's pop. I suppose I could be considered a liberal, and I generally vote democrat. I hate racism, injustice, and closemindedness. I despise thieves and liars. I love the summer in Oklahoma and I wish that everybody could understand the heartache in Wyeth, the loneliness in Van Gogh, and the satire of Warhol.Anyhoo....I'm lucky to have great friends and a few very special people in my life. The most special person in my life is Monica, whom I love very much. Karla for knowing me better than I know myself and being the best friend anybody could hope for, Monica for putting up with me and being a pretty cool girlfriend, Taylor for always demanding better choices from me, James and David for being just all around good guys, and Kayleigh, Zach, and Michaela for being the most wonderful and amazing kids in the world.
