DJ QRIUS is widely considered as one of Sydney's most innovative and versatile Dj's. With a combination of all Urban music genres under his wing, it is without a doubt that this young pioneer is amongst the crème of the crop behind the turntables.
Born in the Philippines and now residing in Sydney Australia, Qrius first became interested in Djing at the age of 15 whilst witnessing local Dj's at work. Mesmerised by the sounds of beat mixing, scratching and the overall fundamentals, it didn't take long for him to let his passion for this artform come into play.
Ranked as one of Sydney's best Hip Hop, R&B and Club Djs, Qrius has not only proven his skill at Australia's leading nightclubs and events but also in various competitions and exhibitions. Opportunity fell into his lap one night in 2003 when Qrius won the South Western "Showdown" DJ Battle Competition which consisted of the top 30 Dj's in the region, and also placed runner up later that year in the Australian Quicksilver National Dj Competition. He has performed at Showcases with the infamous Black Label and Next Level Dj Crews and has completed DJ exhibitions at Live Sydney Kings Basketball games, The Sydney 2000 Olympics and Official Afterparty, The Royal Easter Show (3 consecutive years), The Grand Filipino Fiesta, The Moon Festival, The Sydney Autosalon & Final Battle Car Show, And 1 Basketball Mixtape Tour - Official DJ, Urban Toyota Launch Party DJ plus much more.
Now, still at a young age, Qrius is ranked as one of Sydney's top Hip Hop and R&B Dj's. His talent has taken him to almost every state in Australia and has allowed him to perform at countries such as Canada, Philippines & Hong Kong - he is soon to partake in an Asia tour in mid 2007 where he will visit countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines.
What else is in store for this young vibrant DJ? With already a huge list of achievements at such a young age, it is guaranteed that the future for Dj Qrius will be a promising one.
