Someone has to decide what we do, but who chooses? Is it the personality or the transcendental self?
If we believe it is the personality, than we know as a matter of scientific fact that we are acting out of past experiences that form our neuronets, In which case the go button can be relabeled the repeat button. The neuronets in our brains are the thought-wiring of which our personalities are ultimately made. You create the neuronets in your brain; you create the patterns in your life.
If we transcend reality, we change our lives. The spiritual self is where the true go button lies. In this case you are not motivated by the past but by making known the unknown, or evolving.

What is real?
Reality is not easily characterized. The perplexity and controversy over its meaning are due to its subjectivity. It is subjective because the possibility of consciousness itself means we create it. In truth, every conscious being creates reality. Everyday you wake up, you create your day. We should observe the patterns and relationships in our lives.
The intentional creation of reality:
Has an interaction with another person ever completely changed your mood?
Has an event ever transpired that entirely changed your day?
We have control over our lives. We control our thoughts and emotions. Everything we think and feel is made by us. Others are not to blame for our reactions and judgments, including our anger and jealousy, but also our joy and love.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
So you can't say, YOU ARE MAKING ME FEEL BAD because WE are allowing ourselves to feel that way. In actuality, we have power over our thoughts and emotions; we are in the drivers seat.
Knowing this, we can completely subvert the undesirable patterns in our lives.
You have to have the willingness and the passion to step outside the boundaries of your own comfort zone.
If I can change my point of view, choose my actions and reactions then I can authentically alter my outlook and life itself and conciously create reality.
