Being a wife and mama, singing (both in the shower and on stage), traveling, reading, watching my TV shows, music, aerobics (sometimes when I can) and shopping. Real girly-girl stuff, plus some academics thrown in (Ok, maybe I'm a Jeopardy addict. Does that make me a nerd??) I LOVE teaching and I'm going to miss it SO much! I had the best job in the world and the best students in America! (Y'all know I love you!) But, I also love being a mom, so it's a pretty even trade. I like hanging out with my husband, too. He's pretty cool. :) We love to travel! Next stop: Ireland (or maybe India). But, it has to wait until the baby can eat more "big people" food.
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!
I love it all except hard core rock, hard core red-neck country, and hard core rap. Sarah McLachlan and Coldplay are my favorites, along with Casting Crowns and MercyMe. I love Martina McBride and Kelly Clarkson, too. I was born for Broadway, so Big Apple, here I come! (Someday, when I'm not so busy...)
The Sound of Music is the best classic movie ever. And do I have to mention what my favorite Broadway show is??? There are too many movies that I love for me to mention. But a few of my favorite classics are: Two Weeks with Love, The King and I, Good News, Blue Hawaii, Newsies, Sleeping Beauty, Bye Bye Birdie, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mary Poppins, and about a zillion more.
I love LOST, The Office, America's Next Top Model, Hell's Kitchen, Last Comic Standing, and I miss Alias, Friends, and Gilmore Girls! :) Oh, and of course- Jeopardy!
I'm currently reading Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali. It's really good. I highly recommend it as it really sheds some light on women in Islam. Fascinating! (Again, am I a nerd or just well rounded? I mean, I am a Social Studies teacher after all!!) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was great! I also love anything by Philippa Gregory.
Jesus Christ, my parents, soldiers, Julie Andrews, and Kathy Tracy.
