Solidstance Productions

Solidstance Productions is ran and operated by me, Dan Price. I have 10+ years of recording, writing and performing experience under my belt. I'm looking to record/produce bands so if your in need of demos or even studio recordings, please message me and we will work out the details. I attended Fanshawe College and graduated from the Music Industry Arts program (2008). Writing music and playing guitar has been my passion since age ten. I even played the Baritone throughout high school. All the while I was making my own home-brewed demo's. Soon came my first band The Jostling Hostiles (a two, then three piece thrash outfit). After the departure of the Drummer (my bro David), I joined the band D.A.R.T while attending 1st year MIA. We practiced a lot and left a nice size stain on the London punk rock scene. First year Engineering was awesome because we learned in a completely analog studio. It was fitted with a Sony MXP Console that was wired to a Sony APR-24 multitrack tape machine. A MAC ran Pro-tools for digital storage only. The outboard gear was nice as well. Soon after second year started my third band "Get Down!" was born. We played out hearts out for the ol' Brunswick Hotel (R.I.P.) sharing the stage with bands like BFG, Georgian Skull, Corporation, and a bunch of locals (Hillbilly Bugger Boys, A.P.E. Giggle Switch). Aside from rocking the stage, we also rocked the studio. Having access to 2nd year studio (equipped with a Digidesign Icon) was where a good chunk of the Get Down! recordings were done. Thanks goes out to Mat Pataki for engineering the sessions. As everyone knows all good things come to and end. Get Down! disbanded and the local hot spots for gigs were shut down and burnt. Recently I have joined the ska core band The Filthy Radicals as Lead Guitar duties and backing vocals. I've been keeping busy in the meantime racking my brain with tube circuits and dsp plugins.
