About Me

What the fans are saying about Do Me Right:

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.hoodoorev.com
Band Members: Jay Scheffler (Lead Vocal/Guitar) Jim Chilson (Lead Guitar) Mike Chipperini (Harmonicas) Jeff Fabrizio (Bass) Dave Darling (Percussion)
Influences: For HR the influences are many and include Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, J Geils Band, The Rolling Stones, War, James Montgomery, Sonny Boy Williamson, Albert King, B.B King, Slim Harpo, John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King, Junior Wells, Son Seals, Robert Johnson, Hound Dog Taylor, Cream, Sonny Terry, Little Walter and a lot of good old rock-n-rollers such as The Who, Jimi Henrix and others.
Sounds Like: The witnesses tend to say "think The J Geils Band!" However Hoodoo Revelator is more than that. Their shows are full of high-energy that easily spills out to the audience. Whether they are laying down a boogie beat in the style of John Lee Hooker or ripping it up like vintage '75 Geils, well, it's actually hard to pin down their style or give it a title. Guitarist Jim Chilson calls it hard-core boogie while harp player Mike Chipperini says it's rock-blues or blues-rock or something along those lines. One thing IS for sure, their sound is unique in that it does stand out in the genre of their contemporaries!
Record Label: Upright Records
Type of Label: Indie
