I have been singing all my life, and writing in one form or another since my late teens. I was classically trained on the violin and piano from childhood, and although this has had huge benefits, I feel that nothing allows genuine personal expression to flow in the way that songwriting and singing does. That, for me, is what these songs are about - if it doesn’t come from the heart, then it’s not worth doing. It is also a magical and healing thing, I have found, to transmute pain through music - whether that’s making it, or listening to it.I have spent the last year creating new material, very often with the feeling that the songs had a life all of their own and were writing themselves. So I now find myself being the proud parent of my new "family", all of whom are impatient to get out into the big wide world. I hope you enjoy them as a flavour of more things to come.
