I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Sometimes people call me a hippie-ster. I enjoy concerts, hiking, drawing on sidewalks with bright chalk, making strangers laugh, taking nothing seriously, taking everything seriously, writing hipster conversation cards, scouring thrift stores, discussing philosophies that I don't understand, reading good literature, reading bad literature, dancing (bellydancing, swing dancing, crazy in the street dancing, quiet at the dinner table dancing), making cake, eating cake, and many, many, many other things. Mostly though, I want to know what you know/love best; physics, art, literature, history, math, orthodontics, bundt cakes...tell me about your passions.

Here

Ravi Shankar is playing his sitar in my living room.  I am sitting in the garden at Omega meditating on the squirrels clambering swiftly in spirals up the trees and the people kicking rocks from...

Peering In

I am watching myself waiting, glaring at the stove and unconsciously adjusting my scarf so that it sits draped rather than stretched across my shoulders.  I am wishing that I could sing, or play ...

Vast Reflection/Reiteration/Boring Trip Stories

Home for a week and already I've gone all hum-drum, tired, busy, dry, like I expected.  What I've been doing in my free time, mostly, is fantasising about getting out of here, I mean for good, I ...

10:49 NY Time (up and dreaming)

Every time I step off the plane in New York I tingle.  I mean I get warmer.  I mean I shake off the west and get consumed by trees and thicker air.  I mean it's like coming home.  ...

For Gabe (your turn)

I elucidate and drop like thunder an admonition Stark and remiss Sneering  "These echoes claim nothing of me still..." Yet did emerge an anxious absorption a light and trenchant temer...

I wish I could leave this blank sometimes

Days grow warmer and start passing in brief flashes this time of year...  It must have been Thursday just yesterday, but it's been a week, and goddess knows what I've done with my time....
