About Me

Rogier Schneemann started playing guitar at age 11, and enrolled the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2004 to study jazz. He has studied with Eef Albers, Toon Roos, Wim Bronnenberg and Martijn van Iterson, and has performed with a.o. Benjamin Herman, Peter Beets, Simon Rigter, Jurai Stanik. Rogier represented the Royal Conservatory in the IASJ Jazz Meeting 2007, hosted by David Liebman. He is also a member of the Charli Green Big Band.Rogier is the guitar player for Azure, a modern jazz quartet with pianist Pierre-FranÃ§ois Blanchard, bass player Eric Heijnsdijk and David Barker. Azure made a first studio recording in february 2007, and is steadily gaining recognition for their unique sound, interplay and lyrical compositions.
